Blog Posts Saddle Creek Names Eric Newman Vice President, Corporate Controller
Saddle Creek Logistics Services announced today that Eric Newman has been promoted to vice president, corporate controller. This newly created position was established in response to the company’s rapid growth.
Prior to joining Saddle Creek, Newman spent seven years in the national finance office of Ernst & Young LLP. He joined Saddle Creek as a senior accountant in 2002 and served in a variety of capacities before being promoted to corporate controller in 2007.
“During Eric’s tenure at Saddle Creek, the company has grown exponentially and experienced steady year-over-year revenue growth,” said Mark Cabrera, senior vice president and CFO. “His financial expertise has played a vital role in our success, and we’re delighted to have his continued leadership in this expanded role as we continue to grow our business.”
Newman earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of West Florida and has completed the CFP board’s financial planning certification program education requirements.
