Congratulations to Saddle Creek’s own Bill Poteet. Last week, the Truckload Carriers Association recognized him as one of three finalists for “Company Driver of the Year” in an awards ceremony at its annual convention in Nashville.

Driver’s Record Stands Out

Poteet was selected as a finalist from hundreds of drivers around the country based on his safe driving history, efforts to enhance the public image of the trucking industry, and contributions to his local community.

A professional driver for 25 years, Poteet has spent the last five years behind the wheel of Saddle Creek trucks. He has 2.4 million consecutive miles of safe, accident-free driving to his credit.

“Bill has an old-fashioned work ethic, team attitude and strong commitment to safety. He serves as a great mentor for other drivers,” said Mike DelBovo, president, Saddle Creek Transportation. “Bill truly epitomizes everything that this award stands for. We’re so pleased to see him recognized for his hard work.”
