Members of the International Warehouse Logistics Association (IWLA) elected Cliff Otto, CEO of Saddle Creek Logistics Services, as their 2017-2018 chairman during the 2017 IWLA Convention & Expo in March.
Otto to Lead International Warehouse Logistics Association
IWLA is a trade association that serves nearly 500 corporate members representing 3,000 warehousing locations. The organization is a resource for warehouse logistics, advocacy, and education.
Otto previously served as the association’s vice chairman and 2017 IWLA Convention Planning Committee chairman. He succeeds Mark DeFabis, CEO, Integrated Distribution Services, Inc., based in Plainfield, Ind., who becomes IWLA immediate past chairman.
As CEO of Saddle Creek, Otto is responsible for directing the company’s business including warehousing, omnichannel fulfillment, transportation, and packaging services. He joined Saddle Creek in the fall of 2001. Prior to joining Saddle Creek, Otto spent 11 years with CHEP USA where he was senior vice president for North American sales, after serving as general manager of CHEP’s Midwest region from the launch of the US business in 1990. Preceding CHEP, Otto served in various executive management roles in logistics and finance with Baxter Healthcare and American Can Co. He has held several leadership roles with various grocery industry associations, the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, and served as the national President of WERC. He holds a BS degree from the University of Kansas and a MBA from the University of Maryland.
Otto will remain IWLA chairman through the 2018 IWLA Convention & Expo, March 11-13, 2018.
