Blog Posts New Video Showcases Subscription Box Fulfillment for ipsy
ipsy has revolutionized the beauty industry, earning recognition as the #1 beauty box on USA Today’s “20 Best Subscription Boxes for 2018.”
The company continues to grow and innovate with the support of Saddle Creek Logistics Services, a new video case study shows.
Scalable Fulfillment Solution Ensures Accurate, Timely Delivery
Each month, millions of ipsy subscribers receive Glam Bags filled with beauty product samples. To ensure customer satisfaction, Saddle Creek creates hundreds of different configurations to suit members’ personal preferences.
Operations are carefully synchronized. The 3PL creates and labels all the kits at once, so the packages can be delivered to the customer within a short delivery window.
“We’re trying to create a ‘wow’ experience where every member is unbagging his or her Glam Bag at the same time and sharing all of that content on social media,” explains ipsy Vice President of Operations Corey Harris.
To ensure that the monthly “reveal” is a positive experience, Saddle Creek’s quality team inspects the bags and production line throughout the run to ensure quality and accuracy. Dual distribution centers in Charlotte, N.C., and Fort Worth, Texas, help to facilitate the tight delivery timetable.
ipsy’s business has grown substantially since Saddle Creek first began managing fulfillment for the company in 2012. New Glam Bags Plus and an ecommerce sales channel, ipsy Shopper, are helping to enhance the customer experience. As a result, Saddle Creek has worked with ipsy to scale production operations in order to accommodate growth.
Harris values ipsy’s partnership with Saddle Creek. “Everything from the people to the processes to the technologies and tools – and how they bring all of that together to serve our needs – is really important,” he says.
