“Walking the talk.” That’s what Steven Smith admires most about Saddle Creek Logistics Services.  Steven is one of more than 4,000 associates we are proud to have on board. He joined Saddle Creek four years ago as a Driver Recruiter and has just been promoted to Senior Driver Recruiter.

“I have worked for several companies that had the right words on plaques and signs but no heart to back it up,” Steven explains. “I see and hear our culture in practice from the executives to the hourlies.”

Steven’s experience recruiting drivers goes back more than 20 years. Born and raised in Auburndale, Fl, he joined Saddle Creek because he realized the company had many advantages and offered local drivers a better quality of life.  “At Saddle Creek, most drivers are home daily,” he explains. “Besides having competitive pay and benefits, we offer the possibility to work as a driver and enjoy more family time than most companies. I feel much more rewarded about my job once I have a better product to offer candidates.”
