Olga Davis

Information Systems Project Manager

“Saddle Creek embraced me, and I immediately felt like part of the team. I knew it was a place I could call home.”
Olga Davis

Olga Davis was looking for a new adventure when she moved to the U.S. in 2013. Born and raised in Moscow, Russia, Olga graduated with a bachelor’s degree in advertising and a master’s in marketing from Natalia Nesterova Moscow Academy of Education and had a considerable amount of work experience back home. She had been a flight attendant, a TV and radio station marketing manager and a sales representative.

Eager to restart her life and find good job opportunities, Olga began researching for jobs online when she found an entry-level position at Saddle Creek Logistics Services in Lakeland, Fla.

“I did not know much about the company. When I applied, I imagined a dark little dusty garage. However, when I got there, I found a big, clean and organized company, much better than what I expected.”

When Olga joined the company as a Customer Service Representative in 2017, she remembers, “Saddle Creek embraced me, and I immediately felt like part of the team. I knew it was a place I could call home.”

“Saddle Creek was the first place in the U.S. that took me seriously. The people at Saddle Creek gave me a chance even though I had no work experience in the country. I had applied for dozens of jobs; however, I wasn’t being called for any interviews. I feel extremely grateful for the opportunity I’ve been given.”

Olga is also thankful for all the camaraderie and support the Saddle Creek team offers her.

“It was hard to reestablish myself in another country, away from family and friends. There was a time I was struggling to put my life back in place and my team provided me with everything I needed to succeed not only professionally but also personally. My coworkers helped me with training, rides to work, as well the emotional support I very much needed.”

Five years later, with additional experience in the business, Olga is now an Information Systems Project Manager at Saddle Creek’s corporate office. She manages all the technical service projects including start-ups, network, server, security, and technical initiatives.

“Saddle Creek always provides growth opportunities. They recognize hard work and are interested in you as part of the team.”

Olga has continued learning and strengthening her skills with assistance from those around her. She currently holds her Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Professional Scrum Master 1 (PSM1) certification.

“At Saddle Creek, I learn something new every day. Besides having very good mentors and trainers, the company provides the necessary development tools. I cannot imagine myself working anywhere else.”
