In just a few short years, Nicole Lee has established a remarkable track record at Saddle Creek Logistics Services. She joined the company as part of the Management Trainee Program back in 2010 and has earned frequent promotions, contributing to the company in four different locations. Today, she serves as Director of Fulfillment, based in Fort Worth, T.X., and oversees several order fulfillment operations in multiple U.S. markets.
Nicole has led ipsy, the subscription cosmetics company, through unprecedented growth, expanding from 400K to over 3M monthly subscribers in just five years. To accommodate this explosive growth, Nicole has led the transformation of a single-location/single-shift operation into a business unit operating in two markets on three shifts involving more than 800 associates.
When one of her professors at Georgia Southern University told her that Saddle Creek was a promising, fast-growing 3PL looking for people who could make a difference, Nicole immediately looked for more information about the Trainee Program. After flying to Lakeland to interview with the company’s executives and meeting Saddle Creek founder David Lyons, she could tell the company was a good fit for her.
Nicole appreciates the opportunities the company offers to learn from experienced and talented professionals. “What really helped me to develop a successful career at Saddle Creek were the mentors within the company who exposed me to new challenges and gave me opportunities for growth,” Nicole says.
When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Nicole explains, “At Saddle Creek, you have the opportunity to explore many industries and different parts of the logistics business: omnichannel fulfillment, warehousing and transportation. We are a privately held, professionally managed business with a small company feel and substantial company resources.
