Sr. Fulfillment Supervisor
“Everyone at Saddle Creek is interested in your development and makes you feel included, valued, respected, The leadership team is always looking for ways to help you grow for your benefit – not just for the benefit of the company.”Moriah Glady
Moriah Glady worked in operations for a major online retailer before joining Saddle Creek Logistics Services as a Fulfillment Supervisor in June 2018.
“I changed jobs because I wanted to continue my career in operations somewhere with a better company culture,” she explains. “When I interviewed with Saddle Creek, I could tell it would be a very different experience. It was obvious that they really care about their associates.”
Moriah’s first impressions were confirmed as she began to settle into her new position at the company’s facility in Shepherdsville, Ky.
“Everyone at Saddle Creek is interested in your development and makes you feel included, valued, respected,” she says. “The leadership team is always looking for ways to help you grow for your benefit – not just for the benefit of the company.”
Saddle Creek was just launching the Shepherdsville facility when Moriah joined the company, and she was able to get involved at the ground level.
“The start-up gave me the opportunity to experience more – to take ownership over things – that associates at my level might not have somewhere else,” she explains. “It is an environment where you’re pushed to challenge yourself. I’ve learned so much here and been exposed to different areas.” Seizing available opportunities helped Moriah to achieve her recent promotion to Senior Fulfillment Supervisor.
Moriah also serves as Inbound and Site Safety Coordinator for the facility, building standard operating procedures (SOPs) and developing process training.
“Continuous improvement and standardization are part of the culture here,” she says. “They encourage us to think outside the box. They value associates’ ideas and implement them whenever they can.”
Moriah is proud of her team’s involvement with two significant continuous improvement projects. Most recently, they changed the inbound facility layout and implemented new SOPs and 5S strategies, resulting in cumulative cost savings.
“I’m learning as much as I can. I want to experience more new things and get a better understanding of other accounts and locations,” she says, noting that she recently spent time working at the company’s facility in San Diego, Calif. “I look forward to what’s next!”
