When Lillie Andrews joined Saddle Creek Logistics Services 26 years ago, the company was just opening its first facility in Atlanta. She saw an opportunity for growth.

That opportunity was realized. In 1994, Lillie was one of a dozen associates at the facility. Today, the company employs more than 750 associates across 7 facilities in the Atlanta area.

“Over the years, there have been a lot of changes – new technology, new techniques, new clients,” she observes.  “I’ve watched Saddle Creek grow, and I’ve grown with Saddle Creek.”

With a background in warehousing and forklift experience, Lillie started as a Forklift Operator. After a few years, she moved into Inventory Control, handling everything from food items to personal care products. When an Office Lead position opened in 2003, she applied.

“I was ready for a new challenge,” she remembers. “I wanted to try something different. I was always good with computers, and I knew I could do a good job.”

When Lillie’s family relocated, she transferred to Saddle Creek’s facility in Macon, Ga. When she returned to Atlanta a few years later, the team there welcomed her back.

“Saddle Creek is like a family,” she explains. “We get along together and help each other. We work as a team – everyone participates. That means a lot.”

Ready for the next step in her career journey, Lillie participated in the company’s development classes and online training. This helped her build the skills she needed to become an Office Supervisor. This year, she plans to attend Saddle Creek Academy, a week-long training program for front-line supervisors at the company’s headquarters in Lakeland, Fla.

“Saddle Creek is a very good company. I would recommend it to others. As a matter of fact, I have recommended it to others!” she says. “I really enjoy working here. I intend to be here until I retire.”
