Jyssica was already an experienced truck driver when she joined Saddle Creek Logistics Services in May 2018. About a year later, she was offered an opportunity at the dispatch center and then was promoted to Lead Logistics Coordinator in Lakeland, Fla.

“I heard about Saddle Creek from a friend who worked there as a forklift operator. When I researched the company’s culture and values, I knew it would be a good fit for me,” she remembers. “I’m very pleased with my decision.”

Jyssica is a team player and a problem-solver. She supports drivers, coordinators and supervisors, and makes sure everything is running smoothly around her.

“I love to take care of everyone here. I’ve been a driver, so I understand what our drivers go through and how important their role is to our country. I try to make their day as easy as possible, so they can deliver their shipments safely,” she explains.

Jyssica also trains new coordinators on dispatch systems and Lean Six Sigma tools and provides data to supervisors and managers.

“I like to contribute to Saddle Creek’s supportive corporate culture, where we all work together to find solutions. The management team is open to feedback. They ask for suggestions and are eager to make improvements. I feel that my opinion matters here. You don’t find that everywhere,” she says.

Jyssica believes Saddle Creek’s recognition programs and advancement opportunities also set the company apart.

“Each time I was promoted, I showed I was capable, and Saddle Creek quickly recognized me. They took into consideration my experience as well as my work ethic and attitude. There are so many opportunities here. It’s not just a job – it’s a career,” she says.
