Ivan Rincon has come a long way in his career journey with Saddle Creek Logistics Services. By showing an interest in growing his skills and taking advantage of opportunities the company offers, he has been able to make great strides in just 7 years.
In 2013, he joined Saddle Creek as a Quality Control Inspector, monitoring operations to ensure that outgoing products met rigorous quality standards. Since then, Ivan has moved into new positions that have resulted in numerous growth opportunities. Today, he is a Lead Customer Service Representative in Fort Worth, Texas.
"I was looking for a better job, and my brother highly recommended Saddle Creek. He had been working there for a while, and he pointed out that they are a stable company – which is important when you want to build a long-term career," he remembers.
Ivan has had multiple roles with different accounts. He started working on the floor – receiving, picking, packing, and putting away products. Later, he learned how to run machines to embroider and engrave medical supplies.
"I've done it all. There's no better way to learn than being exposed to different jobs. My biggest challenge at Saddle Creek was diving into the customer service world. I was more accustomed to working on the floor, but I knew this opportunity would help me to grow," Ivan says. "The people here have made all the difference. My team encouraged me to accept the challenge. It has made me a much more confident individual, and I will always be thankful for that."
As Lead Customer Service Representative, Ivan's typical day is focused on meeting the requests of the client. He knows that now, more than ever, physicians, practitioners and nurses around the country need thermometers, masks, scrubs, lab coats and stethoscopes.
"I concentrate on supporting our clients' needs. Since medical supplies are in high demand during the pandemic, we've been working hard to make more products available. I feel a great sense of accomplishment when we meet our goals. I'm glad I work for an essential business right now," he explains.
