After researching Saddle Creek Logistics Services and learning how fast the company was growing, Garrett Warmker decided to join its Management Trainee Program. Since graduating from the University of Oklahoma in Supply Chain Logistics in 2011, he has held eight different roles at Saddle Creek in five locations across the country.
“Over the last eight years, I’ve been exposed to many different types of operations: shared and dedicated warehouses, pick-pack lines, project work and order fulfillment, just to name a few,” Garrett explains. “I’ve been involved in numerous hands-on opportunities, new account start-ups, system implementations, continuous improvement training and charitable community events ranging from food drives to emergency hurricane relief shipments.”
Today, as a Distribution Center Manager, Garrett prioritizes establishing and maintaining effective relationships with his team.
“I thoroughly enjoy engaging with associates daily and challenging my team to apply critical thinking and problem-solving techniques to identify and execute solutions for our clients,” says Garrett.
When asked what he likes most about his job, Garrett says, “Saddle Creek fosters an optimal environment that provides exposure to many different facets of the industry.
