Catherine Delucchi found her calling at Saddle Creek Logistics Services. As a Human Resources Representative at the company’s facility in Joliet, Ill., her top priority is to help managers and associates succeed and make the best of their work experience.

Catie, as co-workers call her, was looking for a new opportunity at a family-oriented company when she came across Saddle Creek in 2015. While she had worked in the transportation industry, this was her first experience with an integrated supply chain company.

“I became interested in joining Saddle Creek after learning about the company’s values and culture. I knew it was the right fit for me, and I wanted to become part of the family,” she remembers.

Catie acts as a liaison to both leadership and hourly associates. She ensures that team members have everything they need to perform their functions and that they understand the company’s systems, policies and benefits.

“My day is never the same, which makes things fun. Periodically, I meet with the Associate Relations Team to discuss new ideas to make our work environment even better,” she says.

Saddle Creek’s facility in Joliet has more than 170 associates. Catie enjoys getting to know all the team members and is proud to call everyone by their first names.

“Not all companies put associates first. That’s what makes Saddle Creek so special,” she explains. “Besides, my co-workers are family to me. We have developed such a bond. It truly helps all of us achieve our goals. Without a doubt, most of our success is due to teamwork. I know I can count on the team, and they know they can rely on me.”
