Brent Willis

Back in 2008, Brent Willis was looking for a new opportunity when he decided to join Saddle Creek Logistics Services as a case picker and has been steadily progressing in his career ever since.

Brent remembers coming to Saddle Creek in his childhood with his father, who worked at the company for more than 20 years.

“I joined Saddle Creek not only because my dad worked here, but I also knew quite a few people at Saddle Creek, and they only had good things to say about it. Even though it was not such a big company back then, it was already a great place to work and start a career,” he remembers.

Since then, he has continued to take on more responsibilities, has supported several accounts, and has been promoted multiple times. Today, he is a Distribution Manager in Lakeland, Fla.

“I was 19 years old when I started working at Saddle Creek. All my managers and supervisors cared about me and helped me learn new skills and grow my career. That’s also what I do for my team today. There has never been a time that I took a promotion and haven’t been helped with adjusting to the new role.”

Brent had the opportunity to meet David Lyons and makes sure he carries on what he learned from the founder of Saddle Creek. He’s grateful for the support he’s had throughout the years and passes it along.

The company also provided the training Brent needed to progress in his career. As of January 2023, he is Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified and the project is currently in the savings phase. While there are many reasons why he enjoys working at Saddle Creek, Brent says the company’s opportunity for growth tops the list.

“Becoming a Supervisor was one of my greatest accomplishments at Saddle Creek. I didn’t imagine I’d move up so much in my career. Now, I want to continue learning and growing,” he says.
